This philosophy makes Valtor's faith particularly appealing to those who have survived loss and trauma. Many of Fort Valiance's soldiers and sailors maintain small shrines to Valtor, seeing in the fire god a reflection of their own resilience. Zhul Mekar, the legendary dwarven forge-master of the Midwall, is rumored to be one of Valtor's most devoted servants.
